The Shaman’s Journey
j. galer 2008
It has been my honor and privilege for the past three years to sit at the fire with the masters of Inca shamanic techniques. These men and women are modern energy medicine healers working with ceremony and ritual whose roots are hundreds of years old. My teachers are the last of the Andean Inca shaman, the Q’ero of the high Andes in Peru. They recognize the urgent need for healing for our planet, our universe, and all of her creatures. They give us their healing processes so that we may share them and perhaps make a difference in the health of the Pachamama, the Great mother Earth.
It seems to me that all of us are starved for ceremony and ritual in our lives. The energy within us is being drained by the work of living our complicated lives. The gift of ritual is the gift of meditation, of opening our minds and hearts to the peace within and without. It’s about connection. About working at the sacred, beyond words.
Come and sit at the fire, listen as we share the story of the earth, remember who you have been, and who you will become.
